Pilots saved the day.
As for flying I love Airbus 330,340,350, Boening 777 and Dreamliner, big airplanes, you know.

Re: In-flight Review: Economy Class on American's Refurbished Boeing 767

So you get priority check in, access to Admirals Club, and main cabin extra seating with the extra leg room? Landor kept up the idea during most of the 'eighties, but things went downhill from then on. The only - fairly - recent decent design job I can think of right now is the British Airways World look of the 'nineties and up to 2004 that featured the work of various different artists from around the world on the tail while the rest of the fuselage would conform to a unified BA livery. It sure made for a good looking apron, and featured some very classy work.
Thanks for your comment, even if it was some time ago!
Oliver Rennert

Re: EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: An Inflight Review & Inside Look Southwest Airlines' New Cabin

I'm guessing it's happened at least once before....

Re: EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: An Inflight Review & Inside Look Southwest Airlines' New Cabin

Mine does - but that's a good way to forget it.

Re: EXCLUSIVE FIRST LOOK: An Inflight Review & Inside Look Southwest Airlines' New Cabin

The armrests are critical to comfort due to the bolt-upright back posture. Armrests should be wide and soft. Currently they are too hard, leading to a great deal of concentrated pressure on the elbow and the ulnar nerve. If the new seats are worse, the problem will be worse. I know we want to cram as many human bodies into these planes as possible, and slimming down the armrests makes the seat width number look wider, but when the waistline of the average American man is 39.7 inches, it might just be that we're too fat. Please don't ruin the armrests.

Re: DNP - Southwest Special Liveries

Need a Peach One for Georgia

Re: 1977 – Delta Airlines “Delta Digest” Company Magazine “35th Anniversary Issue”

I have that magazine if you are still interested, I can be reached at 770-378-6234. The worse, absolutely the worse flying experience I ever had. They pack you like sardines!!!
I traveled from Bogota to Dallas and a 5.5 hrs flight without being able to move or rest your head was horrible. The leg space is very reduced and the tray area literally rest against your body.
Never again I will book with this aircraft. I'm a petite person and if I had a horrible experience I can't imagine a single person with long legs or a large parson giving a good review to this aircraft.
Horrible, absolutely the worse aircraft

Re: American Airlines to Complete Boeing 737, Airbus A319 Fleet Commonality

Airbus A319
Airbus A319 is a rather rare aircraft. For now can be found up to two aircrafts - used. For example, Airbus A319 2005 year of manufacture with 22,700 flight hours and 8,505 cycles will be priced with 16 500 000 USD. This aircraft will have 108 seats and engines CFM56-5B5/P. APU for this aircraft will be 131-9(A). Next C-check for this Airbus A319 will be on May 2018.

Re: Report: Iran Reached a Deal to Buy Boeing Passenger Planes

Crickets

Re: ANALYSIS: Is Austin a Future Hub?

I could see AUS as a DL focus city much like RDU.

AUS (and SAT in some cases) appears to be the biggest unserved non-stop market to both RDU and IND. It would be interesting the see the demands from other unserved markets.

I could see service to BNA, BOS, CVG, DFW/DAL, IAH/HOU, IND, LAS, MCO, MEM, MSY, OKC, ORD/MDW, RDU, SEA and perhaps CDG? Essentially a regional carbon copy of RDU's current operations with mostly CRJ-900's. I wonder if Delta would bother trying to compete with a Dallas route (DFW/DAL) with the likes of AA or Southwest though - UA not so much.

There's a couple problems with DL being in AUS:
1. They're focused on building SEA's operations and I think there's still a lot of risk there.
2. Southwest (and AA) is a power-player here and would not let DL take market share easily. - That being said DL is making some moves in LAS where one would consider the market saturated.

Re: ANALYSIS: Is Austin a Future Hub?

Without a Texas hub, a Delta hub in Austin would make most sense.
